Personally I'm a Ralph Lauren guy all day but you have to admit, this jacket is dope.

J.Crew has devoted itself in recent seasons to the atmospheric—the Liquor Store is equal parts stage set and retail space—so when the brand set its sights on creating a military jacket, no surprise that it went for broke on the details. Made in collaboration with the Hollywood-based vintage hound, designer, and retailer Mister Freedom, the Crew's limited-edition (only seven made) deck jacket obsessively reimagines forties naval garb, boasting enough period details to satisfy even the most meticulous armchair ensign. The grosgrain cotton outer layer is loomed to Navy standards, the lining is a wool "naval blanket" (stitched MFSC Navy—that's Mister Freedom and Sugar Cane, the name of the Japanese mill where it was created), and sandwiched between the two is a layer of organdy, a feature of the original jackets on which it was modeled. You won't see it, but you will hear it: As the fabric moves, it creaks like an old house settling. Good for wind-proofing, says the company; less so, presumably, for sneaking up an enemy combatant.

Marc Jacobs and the Louis Vuitton men’s studio director Paul Helbers have some design competition this season. Kanye West, who was sitting front row at the Vuitton show, has designed a line of five LV sneakers. Only one design, above, was featured in the show — a monochromatic midtop with no frills, save for a quilted flap in the back, all the easier to tuck pants into. “The inspiration came from a jacket with a huge collar in the movie ‘Dune,’ ” West says. “Most sneakers focus on the tongue, so I wanted to do something different.” West knows whereof he speaks: he says he has no idea how many shoes he owns, but he does know that he routinely needs to send shipments off to storage. The LV-meets-Kanye kicks will be available at Louis Vuitton stores in June.

Dior makes some of the best leather jackets I've ever seen. I'll probably never fit into their stuff because of my brolicness for lack of a better word. I guess I'll just enjoy the photos.

Amsterdam sneaker store Patta has teamed up with Asics once again to create some heat for your consuming pleasure. For those who did not know this isn't the first time these two have linked up. I was actually hoping they did the Gel Lyte III again but this will do. Scheduled to drop on the 31st of this month.

New Gear: Penny 1/2 Cent

Here is a photo of the Nike Air 1/2 Cent. It is a hybrid of the Penny I-IV and it looks good unlike the Dub-Zeros and Six Rings. I hope the name is not a shot at Penny though, his career is done but damn. This is the first NDC picture I have seen of this shoe and I know the whole DMV is gonna go nuts over this shoe depending on how much foam is on the final release. The due date for these babies is March 09 so call your friends at whatever shoe store you purchase from and stash your $190 now. If you don't end up getting the Eggplant Foams like most, you can grab these I guess. :-/

HBD King James.

This is for the younger kids who didn't get a change to see MJ do damage to the NBA or only saw his stint with Wizards. The same kids who didn't get to see Magic Johnson run the OG Lakeshow. LeBron's dominance of the NBA is something we will not see for a long time. They say a picture is worth a thousand words but according to Nike we only need four.

This is probably the best promotion for the Nike ID feature that the swoosh has done. Just allow people to create OG colorways and we'll be good. Great to see DJ AM back in action. As you saw it said to be continued, and you know we will keep you updated.

New Gear: Supreme x TNF

The latest Supreme x The North Face collaboration produced these three Denali modeled jackets. Personally the only one that really pops is the blue and cream one.
I still feel like the underachieved with this one but I'm sure some of you breakfast boys and girls will enjoy. The jackets drop on the 11th at the NY and LA stores,the 13th at the Japan stores and the 15th online.

I must say though, they don't really compare to the Summit Series shown below.
